Grilled Corn
If you’re looking for a great grilled side dish that the whole family will enjoy, this grilled corn on the BBQ is a perfect choice!
What You Will Need
6 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon of cilantro leaves, chopped
1/4 tablespoon of chili powder
1/8 tablespoon of cumin, ground
8 corn on the cob with husks
How To Make Grilled Corn
Step 1: Prepare the butter mixture
First things first, let’s prepare the cilantro chilli butter mixture. In a mixing bowl, mix together all the ingredients aside from the corn. Set the mixture aside.
Step 2: Peel back the corn husks
Carefully peel back the corn husks to within an inch of the bottom of the cob. Then discard the silks. You’ll want to make sure to do this as carefully as possible so that the husks remain intact and can be used to wrap the corn.
Step 3: Apply the butter mixture
Take the butter mixture and rub it evenly over each ear of corn. Once each ear of corn is coated in the butter mixture, carefully wrap the husks back over the corn and tie them off at the top with kitchen string.
Step 4: Soak the corn
Next, soak the corn in cold water for 20 minutes. This will help the corn steam and cook evenly on the grill.
Step 5: Grill the corn
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the corn on the grill approximately 5 inches above the heat source to avoid burning the corn. Grill the corn for 15 minutes, turning occasionally until the husks are lightly charred and the corn kernels are cooked through.
