Guinness Beer Marinade

This all-purpose Guinness beer marinade can be used for different cuts of meat, including pork, chicken or steak as well as vegetables, adding rich flavour to your meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bottle of Guinness beer 285ml/10 Oz
  • 4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the ingredients of the marinade.
  • Add your meat or vegetables to the bowl and allow to marinate for 4 to 8 hours, turning every couple of hours.
  • Cook as desired.

NOTES
  • Experiment with different types of stout beer or with adding different herbs or spices. 
  • The recipe is great with chicken, beef, pork or vegetables. 
  • Substitute honey for sugar or maple syrup.
  • Substitute lime juice for lemon juice.
